Synergy Firehoops 1 Year Warranty

Fine Print First (what we do NOT cover):

  • Melted tubing.  We understand the irony in a plastic fire prop, but there is no other kind of firehoop.  Yes, you can make a firehoop out of a metal hoop (aluminum or titanium), but if you've ever hooped with a metal hoop, you know why they're made out of plastic.  It is completely the user's responsibility to not melt the tubing.
  • Broken spines.  Our spines are made from stainless steel aircraft cable, which flexes, absorbs impact, and is normally very hard to break ...but add in the frequent & extreme temperature shifts of fire, heating, cooling, and the effect that has on any material, steel or plastic, combined with a few simple drops, missed-tosses or other impacts, it is possible to break one or two of the 19 strands that make up this steel cable.  Luckily, there are 19 strands, so you're safe, but once a strand or two break, STOP using your firehoop and replace the spine.
  • Wick.  This is the material that you intentionally light on fire, so it cannot be warrantied.  It is, however, replaceable... we meant for it to be that way.  Specifically designed to be replaceable, contact us when its time to replace your wick.

For more info, please read our tubing page and spines page, dedicated to even nerdier & more specific technical information.  See our Repair Services page for information about wick re-wrapping and other repair services (broken spines, kinked tubing, etc.)

What IS covered:

  • permanent spine (not a removable spine) that has come out of the dowel inside the tubing (which is different from a spine breaking).  If a permeant spine comes out of your hoop (which we guarantee will not happen), we will replace your hoop ...no questions asked.  note:  removable-spines must be tightened with a tool (wrench, pliers, etc.) to obtain proper leverage for adequate tightening and are strictly left to the user's responsibility for proper security.  Do not hand-tighten.  An adequately tightened removable-spine will not come out without the strength & leverage of a tool.
  • Cracked polypro tubing.  We do not use random co-polymer polypropylene tubing like many of the polypro hoops out there because we find it to be less rigid.  If you've ever experienced a gushy polypro firehoop or LED, it may be using co-polymer polypro tubing instead of homopolymer polypro.  We use either a 50/50 blend of the two, or just straight homopolymer polypro.  Both are equally rigid and can actually crack before they kink.  If your tubing cracks, we will replace it.  (note: if it is a removable-spine firehoop, keep your spines and return just the hoop for replacement.)

In conclusion...

Almost any component of a firehoop can be damaged.  The good news is that most kinds of breakages are repairable.  Email us to discuss your repair needs and include a picture of the damage if possible.  If your product is "totaled," it can be sent to us for deconstruction and recycling.  With any firehoop, weight is inversely related to durability.  With that being said, our products are built with safety & durability as our top priority, while continuing to pave the way as the lightest designs on Earth.

For hoops, firehoops, or any other product, please contact us for return authorization or if you have any questions.

About restocking fees:
Since all of our hoops & firehoops are custom-made-to-order, each one is completely unique in size, color & wick specifications.  Once returned, it will sit around indefinitely until we are able to sell it at a discounted price.  The restocking fee allows us to discount it so that (hopefully) someone will buy it.
The restocking fee for Quick Wicks covers the inspection & refurbishment necessary to assure that all new Quick Wicks purchased are in 100% perfect condition.  Most Quick Wicks that are returned/exchanged (because the wrong size clamp was selected) are slightly bent out of shape from trying to be clamped onto the wrong size tubings.  We diligently work to make sure each restocked Quick Wick is restored to its original condition.
